Ten Kate Vetten is a supplier of animal fats for the food industry.
At the factory, pork is processed into a liquid fat. During this process a lot of fat is
released which is not suitable for the food industry. This fat mixes with various liquid substances during the process. And eventually ends up in the wastewater. In order to ensure that no grease enters the sewer, the wastewater first goes through an E.S.A. Reactor. Here the water and fat are separated with the aid of a physical chemical reaction. The water is sent to a DAF Unit and the grease is collected in the collecting bin and eventually removed for processing.
